Manuel Cordeiro

The 1900 census of Honolulu found a 48-year old Manuel Cordeiro living alone at 407 King St. (note census street number penciled correction).   He rented his residence and had been two months unemployed.  After this date, Manuel disappeared from the public record.

The record was careful to note that Manuel was not Ca (Caucasian), but Port (Portuguese).  He was a laborer by trade and could neither read nor write.
