gallant ship postwar plaques & depositories

In reviewing the collection of Gallant Ship plaques at the American Merchant Marine Museum, much to my surprise, I discovered that not all plaques exist in duplicate at the United States Merchant Marine Academy nor by extension at the American Merchant Marine Museum.

Although my primary interest is in the Gallant Ship plaques for vessels of the Second World War at AMMM, my search for information often brought me to post-war vessels. I decided to see if I could track down other Gallant Ship citation plaques with their medallions, so I wrote as many of old owners the vessels I could find. Most of my requests ended up falling on deaf ears, but I was able to locate a few.

Below find a table of these later ships with links to images of their plaques; following it is my running list of plaques and their locations.
